3 PassionsFaith, Family, Wellness
Like so many of you, I discovered a passion for health and wellness when faced with a health crisis of my own. If you take the time to read any blog posts, you will see that I am no stranger to pain or illness. While one of the things I blog about is wellness, I am, by no means a picture of health. I do what I can to promote health for my family and I. One thing I do is use essential oils. A lot. I’m always slathering something on me or diffusing one of my favorites or a blend of several. I use Young Living Essential Oils, and teach other people the health benefits of essential oils as well! In this video I explain one of the ways to use an essential oil blend, called Thieves.
Also, more recently, my husband I started the keto diet. The results have been amazing! Throughout this blog you will see pictures of what we looked like before starting keto – as well as the dramatic difference in us now! I invite you to read through the blog posts for information about how this diet has changed our lives for the better!

Jarrod and I met in the Navy in March of 1997. We found out that we were both from Massachusetts and had a very similar sense of humor. I think we started hanging out in November after a six month deployment in the Mediterranean and Persian Gulf and began dating in January of 1998. We were together as often as possible and loved to go bowling, shoot pool, watch movies, and walk around the mall. It’s the simple things in life that bring us joy, right? On February 14, 1999, Jarrod and I went for a walk where I lived with a friend. We ended up on a little boardwalk that overlooked a small pond with a fountain. I turned around to see him on one knee as he asked me to marry him. was definitely not expecting that but of course I said, “yes.”
From September 1999 to March of 2000, we were on another deployment with our ship, the USS John F. Kennedy. My mom actually planned our whole wedding for us. She would email me pictures of cakes and different things so we could choose. On April 8th 2000, we were married at an old country inn in western Massachusetts and had our reception in an old barn. It was pretty awesome! Jarrod is my person and I cannot imagine my life without him. I love him with all that I am!
We have two incredible kids. Our oldest, born Emma, presently identifying as Tyler, is 14 and Jack is 10.
