More of the Unexpected
In an earlier post (Expect the Unexpected), I mentioned how a life of faith is a big adventure. The pendulum of life chose to swing in a direction that we never saw coming. April 28, 2018 is when it all began…
We met with a realtor/our pastor’s wife to discuss selling our home and we are scheduled to close on it very soon. We will pay off Jarrod’s truck and all of our debt. We turned in my leased car, and the next step is our move to South Carolina, on my parents’ 17 acres. We will have money to put up a small house in the back. It is cleared out already. My dad’s guys will build it. We will help, of course. I will homeschool the kids while working my Young Living business. God really spoke to Jarrod while we were at the worship service one their property. Did I tell you my dad built an open pavilion/building for worship? Well, he sings and someone preaches. My mom prays, but may speak as well. We believe it is time. This is huge! We were able to be there for two of their worship services that are on their property. Jarrod was emotional at the last service we were there for and got a very strong sense that this was our home and he didn’t want to leave it. Leaving his job goes against everything we have known, but we truly believe that if God is calling, He will make the way and bless our steps.
I’m not saying that it will be easy to tell everyone up here and leave, but it truly is a better way. A simpler way.
Some Photos From the Last Time We Visited
We can all help each other in so many ways. My dad had been really sick for three years with all kinds of stuff. I will only be about three hours from Michelle(my sister), which I never thought would be possible. My dad is fully equipped and ready for anything. We will have a large garden, be able to teach the kids real life stuff, and so much more. I’m not saying that it will be easy to tell everyone up here and leave, but it truly is a better way. A simpler way. We have some insurance stuff to work out. I may need another surgery. I have an appointment with a specialist surgeon but not until 9/17. I may need another surgery. I went to the VA medical center to get into their system. Jarrod and I are covered through them. There is a VA clinic in their town. We will just need a medical plan for the kids. We are praying at every single step. God is on the move! The pendulum of life chose to swing in a direction that we never saw coming. 4/28/18 is when it all began. This dream scares the crap out of us, so I think it’s big enough 🙂
